<Memory : Buried Under The Tree> holds my memory of a furry companion species recalled from a tree that reminded me of the devastating death I encountered on the Dadaepo promenade in Busan, Korea in February 2022 .
When we have a memory we want to forget, we use the expression “bury memory”. This work shows that my memories engraved with the sadness of loss have been transformed into memories that embrace the light of life, just as a tree that seemed dead is covered with green leaves by the time.

<기억 : 잊을 수 없는>프로젝트 중 하나인 이 작품은 2022년 2월 다대포 산책길에서 마주한 황폐한 죽음을 연상시켰던 한 그루의 나무로부터 상기된 털복숭이 반려종에 대한 나의 기억을 품고 있다.
우리는 잊고 싶은 기억이 있을 때, '기억을 묻는다'라는 표현을 쓴다. 그렇게 묻어 놓은 기억은 죽은 것 같았던 나무가 푸릇푸릇한 잎사귀로 뒤덮이듯, 상실의 슬픔으로 새겨진 나의 기억도 생명의 빛을 품은 기억으로 변환되었음을 보여주는 작품이다.
